Sexually Transmitted Diseases or Infections

Worried Woman

Could I Have an STD/STI?

If you’re worried about having a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or disease (STD), you’re not alone. STDs don’t usually have any symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to get tested. Knowing what to look for can help you decide on your next step, and we’re here to support you along the way.

Common Signs of STDs/STIs

Some STDs/STIs don’t show any symptoms right away, which is why regular testing is important if you’re sexually active. Here are some symptoms that may indicate an infection:

  • Painful or frequent urination
  • Unusual discharge from the vagina or a change in its color, smell, or amount
  • Itching, burning, or irritation in or around the genitals
  • Sores, bumps, or rashes in the genital area
  • Pain during sex or discomfort in the lower belly
  • Unexpected bleeding outside of your regular period

If you’re experiencing any of these, or even if you’re just feeling uneasy, getting tested can give you the answers you need.
